Jason is the cool and composed type. The kind of guy who can speak publicly in front of a hundred people and comfortably articulate his opinion. Easy. That is why Jason’s proposal to Mayna must have been such an important moment in his life. In their lives. It was a cold winter’s day with snow. Jason was at a loss for words. He had bent down on one knee to propose.
“It’s so cold! Let’s go somewhere warmer!” Mayna said, as she figured out what Jason was doing. She quickly helped Jason to his feet, scared that he would freeze.
“No, no, I didn’t do it right, let’s try that again.” He knelt back down again.
There were several attempts, and with each try by Jason, Mayna could feel a rush of emotions stronger than the last.
I was not there to capture this moment, but the way that Mayna and Jason described it was so vivid that I was able to feel like I was there with them. Their warmth in the cold snow. The excitement of a new beginning. The way Jason proposed was simple because it was passionate and from the heart. I really wish someone recorded the process because it would have been such a nice memory to recall on.
After our engagement shoot, I got to know Jason and Mayna even more. We like to keep in touch on Facebook.
Jason is a super duper healthy person who works out 1.5~2 hours a day, and has a strict healthy diet. Since knowing him, he has been my health and fitness guru and taught me how to create a range of healthy foods like green juice! and he shows off his other collections such as kombucha brew and kefir.
Mayna on the other hand is all about yummy food and desserts. She has a personal closet full of junk food!! I receive daily instagrams of her meals 2-3 times a day on my Facebook newsfeed. I don’t think I know any other people that loves to instagram as much as Mayna does! It’s been great ever since I got to know them, and I honestly haven’t expressed even half of how awesome they are as friends. I am just so happy for them, and can’t wait to capture their wedding on August 3rd 2013!
P.S. I got treated to Pizza, ice cream, coconut water, and had a taste Jason’s green drink (which I drank for 2 mornings in a row)
